Day 1
Day 1: Indore to Pachmarhi (400km / 8-9 hrs)

Pickup from Indore and drive to Pachmarhi. Upon arrival checkin to hotel, after freshening-up, leave for a nature walk, exploring the prime attractions on your own. As the day is at leisure, you can indulge in the activities of your interest. Overnight stay in Pachmarhi

Day 2
Day 2: Pachmarhi local sightseeing

Today after breakfast proceed for local sightseeing. Start with blessings of the Jata Shankar temple. Here you will come across something unique as there are two different types of little pond, one of cold water and the other one of hot water. Next, pay a visit to Handi Khoh (Deep Valley). This is known as a huge ravine with thick woodland and a cliff of 300 feet which is also associated with Lord Shiva. Proceed to pay a visit to Priyadarshini Point (Forsyth Point), a popular view point offering stunning views of the surroundings. Next, pay obeisance to Bada Mahadev temple, Gupt Mahadev temple, and more. Halt for lunch. Next, explore Pachmarhi Lake and Rajendragiri. Named after Indian President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, this viewpoint offers charming views of the panorama of Pachmarhi, especially at sunset.

Later, in the evening explore the local markets. Get your hands on some wonderful tribal handicrafts, speciality of the local Gond and Bastar tribes. Do not forget to try local cuisine dishes and savor their lip-smacking flavor.

Later in the evening return to your hotel. Overnight in Pachmarhi.

Day 3
Day 3: Pachmarhi local sightseeing by open jeep (Forest Point)

Start the day with hearty breakfast at your hotel. The sightseeing of Pachmarhi is not yet over! You have tons of places to explore when you are here. To take back the best experience, walk down this green destination in the morning and enjoy the scenic beauty. Begin with a visit to the Bison Lodge Museum. Later, pay a visit to Pandav Caves, five ancient caves carved out of a low hillock. The Bee fall, a 35 m high waterfall is the next stop where you can enjoy the beauty. Proceed for a visit to Reechgarh Caves and Eco Point. Last stop of the day is Dhoopgarh where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset.

Day 4
Day 4: Departure from Pachmarhi - Indore

The tour ends here today. After checkout from hotel drive to Indore and drop you at railway st. for onwards journey

How to reach Pachmarhi from Indore

By Air: Bhopal airport serves as the nearest airports to Pachmarhi. Visitors can avail direct flights to these cities from Delhi and Indore. Otherwise connecting flights till Bhopal or Jabalpur from other Indian cities including Raipur, Hyderabad and Amhedabad can be availed.


By Road: There is a only one sleeper bus operate between Indore and Pachmarhi. Being a cantonment town, road condition here is quite good. Visitors must note that even if they are travelling by train or flight, the last journey till Pachmarhi has to be done by road.


By Rail: Visitors have to board trains till Pipariya railway station, the nearest railway station to Pachmarhi. One direct train link Pipariya with Indore. In case one cannot find a direct train till Pipariya, train till Itarsi railway station can be boarded.


Best Time to Visit Pachmarhi

Weather of this beautiful hilly region remains pleasant and enjoyable throughout the year. However, it looks its best during monsoon and winter as the lush green surroundings of the hill station looks even more refreshing and lovely during this time. If you want to see how beautiful and serene Pachmarhi looks in winter, visit it between October and March.


Places to visit in Pachmarhi

Handi Khoh

A grand gorge with a 300 feet towering cliff amid dense woodland, Handi Khoh in the region of Panchmarhi is gifted with spectacular panorama. The clinging rock face of this gulch is a haven of large beehives. A profound timbered jungle surrounds this exquisite place. This place is strongly allied with the myths and blessings of Lord Shiva.


Apsara Vihar (Fairy Pool)

A usual bathing puddle shaped by a petite cascade, Apsara Vihar of Pachmarhi is positioned in close proximity to the Pandav fissures. Although next to the fall the pond is more intense, at the ending it is petty and this feature makes it a favorite picnic destination of visitors.


Pandava Caves

Nestle on a miniature hummock Pandava caverns in Panchmarhi are assume to have been a sanctuary of the Pandavas for the period of their separation. Now a secluded memorial, Pandav grottos have been engraved from a stumpy hillock. These five caverns also housed a shelter to Buddhist preachers in the epoch of 1st century.


Priyadarshini Point

This vantage viewing point marks the place from where Captain Forsyth discovered Pachmarhi. The Britishers developed Pachmarhi as a hill resort and their influence is embodied in its churches and also in colonial architecture. Must visit place at Pachmarhi.



The highest point in the Satpura range at Pachmarhi, with a magnificent view of the surrounding ranges. A very popular spot for viewing sunsets. Must visit place at Pachmarhi.


Bee Fall

A spectacular waterfall in the stream which also provides drinking water to Pachmarhi. The pools at above the waterfall in the stream are very popular. Must visit place at Pachmarhi.


Jata Shankar Caves

A sanctified locale of Shaivite ritual, Jata Shankar of Panchmarhi is a natural grotto which abodes a natural Shivalingam underneath the silhouette of enormous rock. The boulder configuration in the cavern looks like the Seshnag, a hundred headed celestial snake.
